How Does A Physical Therapist In The Water With A Patient Call For Help If There Is An Emergency?

How Does A Physical Therapist In The Water With A Patient Call For Help If There Is An Emergency?

If you are working with someone like a senior and you have an emergency you don't want to leave them and go and get help, especially if you are in the water wtih them. So what do you do?

We were recently contacted by a hospital that had a physical therapy services for seniors that consisted of working with them in the water. In the past if there were an emergency with the patient the physical therapist had a decision to make; leave the patient in the water and go for help or get the patient out of the water and take them with them to get to phone and call for help.

Assistive Technology Services is proud to be able to solve this problem. With our new Freedom Alert Medical Alert system the physical therapist is able to stay in the water with the patient and call for help from their waterproof pendant. Not only could they press a button and get help, they can also talk right through the pendant to the person answering the call. Now if there is an emergency all they have to do is press one button on the pendant and then speak to a security officer that will then send the help they need. All with the touch of a button and without having to leave the pool.

The Freedom Alert system is a NO MONTLY FEE system that will call the phone numbers that you progam into it. So it can call the front desk, a neighbor, the police or even 911 if you want it to.
